Available 2nd Quarter 2009
Kronosport's hybrid/electric fuel cell vehicle is a relatively inexpensive way to demonstrate the benefits of using hydrogen to power a utility vehicle for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications. The cost of a fuel cell automobile is cost prohibitive for most universities and demonstration sites. Fuel cell vehicles are almost impossible to obtain, and the cost could easily exceed $100k to purchase and/or lease a vehicle. There are many hydrogen demonstration projects underway throughout the world but very few demonstration fuel cell vehicles available for these sites. Kronosport seeks to fill the gap by offering a small task-oriented hybrid electric/fuel cell vehicle at a cost of under $25k.
In the second quarter of 2009 Kronosport will offer a fuel cell kit that will include a Ballard 1.2 kW Nexa Power Module fuel cell that can be integrated into a Kronosport vehicle. The kit will include a hydrogen regulator, control software and instructions on how to integrate the fuel cell.
